Teresa Pereira has a PhD in Operational Research from Engineering School of Minho University, Portugal. A MsC  in Information Management from Sheffield University, UK, and a Degree in  Production Management Engineering from  school of engineering of Minho University, Portugal.

Is Associate Professor at the department of Mechanics of the School of Engineering of Porto (Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto -ISEP)  of Polytechnic od Porto (P.PORTO). Is Coordinator of CIDEM- Center for Research & Development in Mechanical Engineering
